Mimic Party on iOS

The official app, and the only one.

Mimic Party is a 1 to 5 player online voice party game. The iOS version is published by FoliesAPP, the studio that makes the game, and it is distributed on the App Store and nowhere else. If you were sent a file to install, you were not sent Mimic Party.

The Apple ID is the part you can check yourself. A clone can copy our title, our icon and our screenshots in an afternoon; it cannot be served at id6813545317, because Apple hands that number out once. Read it in the address of the listing you were sent, before anything else.

The bundle identifier is the same string as on Android, and that is normal — one game, one identifier, two stores. It is listed here for completeness, not as a check: the App Store does not show it to visitors, so it is not something you can compare on a listing.

How to tell a fake from the real thing

Nobody can publish an APK against an iPhone, so the counterfeits take another shape here: pages offering an "IPA" of the game, profiles to install by hand, TestFlight links sent in a DM, and clones on the store itself under another developer name. Four checks, from the most telling to the least.

  1. 1

Read the developer name, not the app name

It must say FoliesAPP, and tapping it must open our developer page with our other apps on it. A clone copies our title and our icon in an afternoon; it cannot publish from our developer account.

  2. 2

Read the Apple ID in the address

A genuine listing carries id6813545317 in its URL. Anything else — another number, an extra word, a site that is not apps.apple.com — is a different app by a different person.

  3. 3

There is no IPA and no profile to install

We have never distributed an IPA file, a sideloading guide, a configuration profile or an enterprise build, and we never will. Anything that asks you to trust a developer certificate in your iPhone settings is handing someone else control over what runs on your phone.

  4. 4

No TestFlight invite arrives by DM

If a beta of Mimic Party ever opens, it is announced on our Discord and on this site, never in a private message. A TestFlight link received from a stranger is the oldest way to get an app onto a phone that Apple never reviewed.

You found one?

Report it to Apple from the listing (scroll to the bottom → Report a Problem), then tell us so we can file a takedown. The sooner a counterfeit is reported, the less of our search results it eats.

What you are actually downloading

A round plays one reference sound to the whole table at the same moment: an animal, a machine, a voice, a noise nobody can name. Everybody records at once on the same countdown, one single take and no retry, then the recordings play back one by one while the room reacts.

Each take is compared to the reference on melody, rhythm and attacks — never on timbre, so a deep voice and a high voice doing the same curve score the same. Then the wheel hands out points, multipliers and sabotages, and a sabotage is aimed: the victim only finds out when their own take comes back saturated, chopped up, or replaced by a fart.

The full game page walks through a round step by step, with the scoring, the wheel and the sound packs.

What you need

An iPhone or an iPad

The app runs on iOS 15.0 and later, on iPhone and on iPad. It is one universal app, not two listings — the same Apple ID covers both.

The microphone, and a pair of headphones

The whole game is played with your voice, so iOS asks for microphone permission the first time you record. On the built-in speaker the reference sound leaks back into your own take and the score suffers for it; any wired or Bluetooth headset fixes that.

An internet connection

Games are online, one to five players in the same session, about ten minutes a game.

iPhone, Android and PC, same game

The iOS version is the same Mimic Party as the Steam one, not a cut-down spin-off: same rounds, same scoring, same wheel. iPhone players, Android players and PC players sit at the same table, and linking your phone to your PC account is a QR code scanned in game.

The stores price it differently, and that is the one real difference. On iPhone and on Android the game is free to download, with in-app purchases; on Steam it is a one-off paid game. Owning it on PC also changes what your phone account can do.

Questions about the iOS version

Is Mimic Party available on iPhone? +

Yes. Mimic Party is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, published by FoliesAPP under the Apple ID 6813545317. It is free to download, with optional in-app purchases, and it runs on iOS 15.0 and later.

Which Mimic Party app is the official one on iOS? +

The only official iOS app is the one published by the developer FoliesAPP at https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813545317, Apple ID 6813545317. Any other listing, mirror or download link is not ours, whatever name, icon or screenshots it uses.

Is there an official Mimic Party IPA? +

No. We do not distribute IPA files, sideloading packages, configuration profiles or enterprise builds, and we never have. The App Store is the only channel we publish the iOS game on. A file found on a download site has been repackaged by someone else, and installing it means trusting that person with what runs on your phone.

Is Mimic Party free on iOS? +

The download is free. Some content is sold as in-app purchases through the App Store, and a premium subscription exists. Nobody from the studio will ever ask you to pay outside the App Store to unlock the game, and nobody will ask for your Apple Account password or a gift card code.

Does it work on iPad? +

Yes. It is a universal app: the same listing installs on iPhone and on iPad, from iOS 15.0 onwards.

Can iPhone players play with Android and PC players? +

Yes. iPhone, Android and Steam players join the same games, and you can link a phone to a PC account by scanning a QR code in the game.

Why is the App Store title "Mimic Party !" with an exclamation mark? +

Because the name was already taken on the App Store when the game shipped. It is the same game as the one called Mimic Party on Steam and on Google Play, from the same developer — check the developer name, FoliesAPP, and the Apple ID rather than the punctuation.

Do I need a microphone? +

Your iPhone already has one, and iOS will ask for permission the first time you record. Headphones are strongly recommended, otherwise the reference sound leaks back into your take through the speaker.

I found a fake Mimic Party on iOS. What do I do? +

Report the listing to Apple from the store page (Report a Problem, at the bottom), then tell us on our Discord or at folieslandpro@gmail.com so we can file a takedown request.

Who develops Mimic Party? +

Mimic Party is developed and published by FoliesAPP, an independent French game studio, also behind Animic, a multiplayer Battle Royale played with your voice.
